Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Spark- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Spark, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima FullBack 2-Bike trunk mount rack. Part number Y02634. On this rack, it secures the bike in three positions. Two up top here on the frame, and one down on the side for our anti-sway. In order to remove the bike, you want to pinch these tabs in and pull up the zip strips. We can set our bike out of the way. It's good practice to put the zip strips back in to insure that they don't get lost or broken. With that out of the way, let's go ahead and take a couple measurements. First one's going to be total distance added to the vehicle, which looks like about 27-1/2 inches. more

Yakima Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chevrolet Spark Y02636- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Spark, we'll be talking a look at the Yakima HalfBack 2-bike trunk-mount rack, part number Y02636. On this bike rack, our bike's held on in three positions, two up here on the frame and one anti-sway down here. Now in order to get the bike off, we just have to push in on these tabs and pull the zip strips out. Now we can get our bike out of the way. I like to replace the zip strips to ensure that they don't get lost or broken. Now with the bike out of the way, let's take a couple measurements. First will be total distance added on to the rear of the vehicle, which will be about 28". more

Now when you remove the straps, it's always a good habit to put them back in place because you don't want them flapping around while you're driving. more

As you can see we already have a bike rack installed on there, let's go ahead and get a little bit closer and show you some of the features. As you can see there are three points of contacts on the bike frame. You have the two straps on top and the anti-sway strap on the side. This keeps it from going back and forth and possibly hitting the other bike that you have installed on it. Let's go ahead and take this off. It's always a good idea to reattach your straps so they're not flapping around while you're driving or possibly losing them while you're driving. Thule Archway Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Cruze limited we have our Thule Archway trunk mounted bike rack. This does hold two bikes and it has three straps holding down each bike. We'll go ahead and pull our bike off. I'll take the top two straps off. Pull down and out, and then to take off our anti-sway strap, I'll hold on to the bike that way it doesn't swing into our car. I got those off, just put this out of the way. Now it always a good habit to get into to go ahead and put your straps back. That way they don't get lost or damaged. Alright. Now some of the features on this is up here at the top we have two pads for our trunk, we have two pads down at the bottom for our license plate or bumper. We have our cinch straps up top on the top of the trunk, then we have our cam buckle to tighten the strap that does our side and the bottom of our trunk. To tighten it all we have to do is I pull this way with this strap, and this is our extra strap, and then I'll pull this that way together to all end up going like that. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Quick Back, a trunk mounted two bike rack with part number Y02621. To begin our test fit, we're going to place the bike rack directly onto our trunk lid. The bottom pad should be resting on top of our rear bumper. We'll then connect our top hooks to the leading edge of the trunk lid. The hooks label side will go to the side of the trunk lid. We'll connect them to the metal piece above the taillights. The bottom hooks will go underneath the bottom lip of our trunk lid. more

Thule Archway Trunk Mount Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway, a trunk mount 2-bike rack with adjustable arms, part number TH9009XT. With our bike dialed into the number seven as per Thule's fit guide, we'll begin our test fit by placing the bike rack directly onto the back of our Cruze. We will want to check and make sure that our bottom pad is resting directly on top of our rear bumper. We'll then take the top hooks and hook them into the leading edge of our trunk lid. We'll snug these down just a little bit to help us hold our rack in place, with the side hooks going to the side and the bottom hooks going to the bottom. With all six hooks in place we'll slowly tighten each strap to secure our rack to our vehicle. We'll then secure our excess strap. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Thule Gateway, a trunk mount 2-bike rack with adjustable arms, part number TH9006XT. To begin our test fit we'll first have to refer to the Thule fit guide or the included instructions to see what number we need to set our fit dial to. For this vehicle we'll set our fit dial to the number 7 and we'll go ahead and prepare to set the carrier onto the vehicle. The rear pads on the carrier should be resting directly on top of our rear bumper. We'll hook our top hooks to the front part of our trunk lid. It's a good idea to cinch these down a little bit to help hold our rack in place. We'll hook the bottom hooks to the lower part of our trunk lid and our side hooks to the side part of our trunk lid. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, were going to be test fitting the Saris Bones RS, a trunk mount adjustable arm three bike rack, part number SA851B. To begin our test fit, were going to place the two bottom clips underneath the bottom edge of our trunk hood. We may need to open it to get these to slide under. Well then close our trunk. Well then pull the yellow levers located on both of the tubes. This is going to allow us to extend the rubber coated ratchet strap. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we will be test fitting the Saris Bones, a trunk mount adjustable arm 3 bike rack, part number SA801. To begin our test fit, we're going to place the bike rack directly onto our trunk lid. You will want the lower two feet to be resting directly on top of your bumper. We'll now take our upper hooks and connect them to the leading edge of the trunk lid. We'll connect the side hooks to the side of our trunk. We're going to locate them just above our brake lights. For the bottom clips, we'll connect them to the bottom of the trunk lid. We'll then tighten each strap a little bit at a time, until we have our bike rack secured to our vehicle. more

Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we are going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Express, a trunk mount three bike rack part number is HRE3. To begin our test fit we are going to place the bike rack directly onto our trunk lid. The lower pad of the rack should be resting on top of the rear bumper. We'll attach our top hooks to the leading edge of the trunk lid. Our side hooks will go to the side of the trunk. We are going to attach this to the metal just above the parking lights. The bottom hook will go underneath the trunk lid. Once we have our hooks in place, we'll then tighten each strap a little bit at the time to secure our bike rack to the vehicle. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Expedition, an adjustable arm trunk mount 2-bike rack, part number HRF6-2. To begin our test fit we're going to place our bike rack directly onto our trunk. To adjust our upper arm we're going to pull out on the upper set of black levers. This will allow us to adjust our bike rack properly. We can then secure it in place by pulling down on the black levers. We'll now place our top straps on the leading edge of our truck lid. more

Hollywood Racks Baja 2 Trunk Bike Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Baja, a trunk-mount, 2-bike rack, part number HRB2. To begin our test fit, we'll place the lower pad of the bike rack onto the top of our rear bumper. We'll then open the two black levers located on the outside of the rack and adjust our arm as necessary to fit our vehicle. Please keep in mind when we adjust this, we're going to want our cradle arms to be level or slightly angled up. We can now take the top straps and hook them to the leading edge of our trunk. The side straps will hook to the side of our trunk. The best place for these will be just above our tail lights. The bottom straps will hook underneath our trunk lid. You may need to open your trunk a little bit to give you the room to get the clips in. With all of our straps in place, we'll begin tightening them down one at a time until we have our bike rack secured to our vehicle. more

Thule Archway Trunk Mount Bike Rack Review - 2013 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevy Cruze we'll be test fitting the Thule Archway trunk-mounted 2-bike rack, part number TH9009XT. We'll begin our test fit by placing the carrier onto the vehicle's trunk. The rear portion of the bike rack should rest on the upper tier of the rear bumper. We'll now take the top hooks and position them on the top portion of the trunk lid. We'll then tighten them down to help keep the carrier in place. Now on the right hand side we'll take the side strap to put it on the side of the trunk just above the tail lights and the bottom strap to the bottom portion of the trunk. more

Yakima QuickBack 2 Bike Rack Review - 2013 Chevrolet Cruze- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevy Cruise, we'll be test fitting the Yakima QuickBack trunk mounted 2-bike carrier, part number Y02621. To begin our test fit, we'll place the carrier onto the vehicle. We'll place the top hooks to the top part of the trunk, the side hooks to the side part of the trunk, and the bottom hooks to the bottom part of the trunk. We'll then tighten down the straps to secure the carrier to the vehicle. After securing the excess slack, we're ready to load our bike. We'll loosen up the red knob on the right hand side of the carrier to swing the cradle arms out. more
